Just thought some of you guys might like to know that Killing Floor is about to be updated for the new event that lasts from today until July 22nd, and the game is now half price on Steam.

some of these new monster designs are better than the originals =/ stil now iam very pumpes for some 6 player (with my friends over skype) hard/suicidal and blast clowns!

I know this is a somewhat old thread... I can't seem to find this answer anywhere though...

Does anyone know why the sideshow event hasn't ended? It said it would end July 22nd. I'm getting seriously tired of the carny creatures. I really absolutely do not like them... Aside from the monkey man of course. He's awesome.

Ahhh the originals are awesome! The Monkey Man is certainly better than the original scrake, but the bearded lady, robot, and the sword dudes are terrible IMO. The clots' little bow on their head bugs me too lol.

the robot can go to shoe

the clots are a lot better than original, somehow ^_^ bearded lady is AWESOME, the spider dudes are also a lot cooler.


the rest is pretty mweh though, the scrake is okay

To me, this game looks kinda nasty....but everyone has their opinions, right? I'd like to stick with Nintendo games like Zelda and Mario, ect.

That's by far the most unique specimen in Killing Floor!!! Crazy black spikey evil looking creature.


The Monkey Man and the Fleshpounder are the only ones I think that are better than the original. The original scrake is boring IMO. It just looks like a typical zombie holding a chainsaw.
The clots are boring, but the original clots were boring as well. The christmas clots were awesome though.

I agree, the regular crawler looks a lot cooler than the summer one (which just looks bizarre), but oh well, it's just a special event. My favourite is probably the Husk (robot) believe it or not, although the Fleshpound is pretty cool.

Nonono... I've seen many people compare them (probably because L4D shares some ideas with KF which came before it, such as a fat zombie that explodes when shot) but in fact they are two very different games. About the only thing they have in common is that they both use weapons and the common enemies are 'zombies'.

its like L4d only that is totally isnt, enemies come in waves for example, you have different classes, a shop, levels etc, different enemy types, not at all like "special infected" but more like... a wave consists of certain types of enemies, in the first wave you will only see clots and bloats, then there will be clots, bloats, gorefast and crawlers
and so on.

it started as a UT 04(?) mod and was then made into an actual game.

When I got the game, I originally thought it was very similar to Left4Dead... but then I started REALLY playing it and in no way shape or form is it even similar. If anything, it is more like COD zombies in that it's waves of zombies. That's really the only similarity though. The gameplay mechanics are entirely different. It's 10000000x better than COD zombies too of course. I couldn't play COD zombies for more than ten minutes because it was so pathetically repetitive and boring.
