No, that isn't LulzSec's style. They bruteforce major sites, not their satellite accounts on other sites. I.e., they'd have hacked Fox itself, or attempted to, and posted that story. Just like they made one saying Tupac was still alive.

Probably a script-kiddy.

Does anyone really care?

I mean throwing aside the general public, anyone this can substanial mess up would be informed that he'd been shot or not, so does it really matter?

There about as effective as peeing on a electric fence.

LulzSec is all about showing how bad our internet security is by hacking major sites with simple scripts while having some lulz. Hacking a twitter account isn't really their thing.
