This is really counter intuitive to me... So I am painting my textures in Blender. I start out with these giant 1024 squared textures, and they make the transition to DBPro just fine. But then I start scaling them down to see how far I can go before I lose fidelity... And every texture so far looks better at 64 squared size than my original 1024 squared size...

its all in how much detail you have in the textures.

do you mind posting an example?

Because you have more detail per pixel... but that does seem quite weird; Shouldnt it look really pixelated at 64? Anyways, can you post an image?? This sounds interesting

Cheers,

I found my answer... The filter in the render pipeline smooths the textures, and my texture variations were very subtle so it ended up enhancing the color differences at the lower resolution, and getting rid of my shoddy artwork;P

I just tried to bring back the effect so I could post it, but my original ugly texture is gone... Think about the effect posturize has on an image.
