Yesterday while I was playing F:NV, and using Cass as a human shield. I got an idea about a tv series following male and female characters in their 30s. With the series story similar to the Fallout:NV story and standalone episodes featuring new places where they go in every episode, and standalone story for every episode and place. The ultimate goal of the series could be the revenge of two main characters on some evil bastard, who is evil because: SOMEONE HAS TO BE! A series similar to the Walker: Texas Ranger, Supernatural, Castle and other series. I wanted to write a pilot and send it to people in my country so I could make some money. Butt since my own country kicked me in the balls last week, I`m just eager to share this idea with people who respect video games.
So what do you guys think about this?

Replica to question: Why New Vegas and not Fallout 3? Is the initiation of a stand-alone paragraph explaining why New Vegas dosent kick me in the head with Deja Vu and send me flying to reduplicative paramnesia of time, space and settings ordinary rpg`s have.
Sorry for bad English, I`m not from around.

My paragon is not on the poster, its in the mirror.

I like the idea of a Fallout series, but I do think that Fallout 3 would be more fitting in most ways, but Fallout New Vegas would be awesome. I'll do voice acting for ya

They already made a Fallout NV movie, it's called The Book of Eli ... Stars Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman and Mila Kunis. If you haven't seen it, rectify that. It's well worth a watch, but anyway its so similar to Fallout that it has to have been inspired by it. Especially reminds me of when I was exploring some overhead motorway stuff in Fallout3, killing little gangs of outlaws and taking my time like a noob.

Would be an interesting show though, a change from survival sci-fi with the same old plots... kill zombies, protect family, loot, enemies become friends, loot, friends become enemies.... replace zombies with aliens and you go from Walking Dead to Falling Skies. I'm surprised that smaller independent film makers don't make survival style movies, it's not like were short of wastelands.

Haha, so true Van. Excellent film, but he was definitely on his way to the Brotherhood of Steel.

But it would be nice to see a refreshing survival movie. The last good zombie flick I watched was Zombieland and that was only because it was such a good parody.

I'd find that an unconcious rex can prove useful for shielding my self from deathclaws...

But yes that could work really well, provided it's not machinima

How...just how are any of these like each other?

If you do it right, this'll be gold. It all hinges on the settings and characters. It's gotta feel apocalyptic, if you happen to live near Chernobyl you're laughing...at least in this sense you would be.

This is an example of it done brilliantly:

One of my favorite all time movies. So far that's tied with The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Road, Twister, The Usual Suspects, and the Bourne trilogy.

If you haven't seen The Road, then you might want to see that too. It's a great post apocalyptic movie, not as violent or weapon oriented as Fallout/Book of Eli, but instead focuses more on survival. It was originally a book which is also amazing! One of the few books that I thoroughly enjoyed. Doomsday is also a decent post apocalyptic movie, not nearly as good as The Book of Eli or The Road, but still worth watching.

Edit: Thanks for the video CoffeeGrunt! It was surprisingly interesting and well done

No problem, I think it's been posted before, but it's on-topic and awesome, so I posted it here too.

I especially like the part where the ghoul's meant to be giving them sniper cover. I'd like to think I'd be like the ghoul in this situation.

It's good, up until the end where you realise it's all about religion.

meh, that i did from the beginning: a movie being about religion isnt bad, not at all, as long as it isnt trying to convince you that you should join religion its fine

and for the record, I am a man.

I hate films that'll get you on the hook and then start with obvious religious connections and messages, which I'm sure is fine when you're religious. But otherwise it can be a major turn off.

But Book of Eli didn't do that to me. It was about a religious book and a religious man protecting his religious book with a twist that ought to be obvious if you're familiar with biblical stories, but actually I felt that was only really on the surface.
