Then where should this be? It obviously won't go in Models and Media?

And thanks for commenting Dar13, you got a nice system right there!
I should add OS, HD, and cases to the list. Thanks for that!

Nice specs guys, but this was made for FPSC users. I don't think that they will ever check Geek Culture. A lot of you didn't follow the template,

Quote: "FPS From Default WW2 Map - 39-60"

This is the reason why i posted this, so we can compare specs to see which can run FPSC better and that's why i posted this in Product Chat...

Quote: "as you can see, I really couldn't care less about my hardware - as long as everything works and XP's installed, I'm totally fine"

'cough' XP sucks 'cough'
Im kidding, im kidding. But windows 7 is definitly better, you can do so much more and it seems a lot more stable than XP.

I thought you can't use FPSC on Linux? CAN YOU? I have another hard drive with Linux on it...

Aside from the Linux part, how can your system even get a good framerate OBese87?

@DevilLiger
Nice system, i would recommend a new GPU but that's just me Also im thinking about getting a AMD x4 is it worth it?

Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad SL510
OS: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz
Graphics: Intel GMA
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 250gb - Western Digital, shock resistant
Ports: 3x USB 2.0, 1x eSata, 1x HDMI, 1x WGA, 1x Headphone, 1x Microphone, Card Reader, 1x Ethernet
Keyboard: Spill resistant
Casing: It lies, it's plastic, but seems metal underneath.
Drives: DVD Writer

But no roll cage sadly, the cheap ThinkPad models don't have them.

I still need to get me an eSata drive for my back up data as it'll be faster than my USB one. But they're more expensive.

That's all I have I'm afraid, I don't have anything as a gaming PC, I did have a gaming laptop but it died. My 360 is where I do my gaming. I was planning to build a desktop PC for gaming but I lost my job, so couldn't.

Shhh, it thinks 2fps is a good framerate.
I don't have FPSC so I wouldn't know if it runs on Linux, sorry if I got your hopes up.

Last I heard you were being driven insane by bruno mars music, I suppose it was just a matter of time until you cracked and axe-murdered all your colleagues. Good luck finding a new job

@ Exu Corporaions yes when playing with all kinds of games it's worth it. if i were you to try to max out the memory first. the CPU is last IMO. i really wanted a new GPU. turns out i don't have a 512 mb GPU it's actually 256MB ddr2. i really want to upgrade it. Left for dead 2 is too slow on max settings. To me if a game is lagging bad offline on max settings the computer isn't good enough for me. I always have the need to play games offline very smooth at max setting with many high detail characters at one time as possible moving around like a rushhour.

me i would tell you to get the AMd Phenom II X4 975. make sure your mother board can support them. just go for the best your mother board can support. mine can only go up to a AMD Phenom II X4 9XX series.

btw the bigger the tv the better for headshots for me in FPS games. I connected to it with a monster HDMI cable cost me hundreds for it. The best Monster cable available. Me I just for the best at the time and not a slight upgrade. IMO

Case: Antec P180b
Mobo: Abit IP35 Pro
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz (49°C)
RAM: Crucial 4GB DDR2 800 (with copper heatsinks)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS 256MB (65°C)
HDD: Seagate 320GB SATA2 (200gb partition for XP, 100gb for Win7) (48°C)
HDD: WD 40GB IDE (scratch disk) (42°C)
HDD: WD 1TB SATA2 (storage) (40°C)
DVD-Rom: Samsung SATA DVD-Burner
Audio: SB Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
Other: Lian-Li internal USB card reader

This is all connected up through my Apple Airport router with gigabit. I also have a Buffalo NAS which has two 500GB drives setup in RAID 1.

My 50" Sony HDTV is also connected to the PC. I also have a Dell laptop that I can't be bothered to pull out for the specs right now.

Speccy is a good program for finding all your PC info. If my temperatures seem a little high, I did just spend an hour doing video editing.

Anyone here sporting an ssd for their hard disk? I have been reading a lot about it and that sort of confused whether I should check it out or it would just be an overkill. I just have a few questions concerning it and I would really like to know:

Is the speed comparison really that great, in terms of loading in and out of the OS? Or part of it is just placebo that people are in?

SSD's are last on your list to buy after 8gb of ram. Its the last little push you need for a stupidity really but for the price vs. gain? The average gamer wouldnt need one. Wait for the tech to plummet in price before you bother.

This is literally after i just finished playing C&c 4 on highest settings for a few hours so the temps are a little above average.

Edit frame rates?

Err well uncapped full spec on most...

Motherboard - Don't know. One by Lenovo.
CPU - AMD Athlon II x2 (3.0 GHz).
Graphics Card - ASUS ATI Radeon 5450 1GB.
Power Supply - Some unlabeled 550 watt one.
Memory - 4gb, unlabeled.
Hard Drive - 320GB Seagate.
Computer Case - Default manufactured Lenovo case.
Operating System - Microsoft Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

I'm just going to upgrade the processor and graphics in this one. $500 for new parts as opposed to $1000 for a new PC.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

Very nice temperatures Laz. AMD's sure run a lot cooler than the first Athlons. I had a pair of Athlon MPs that ran over 70° on average.

In the time it took me to grab this picture, open Paint, save it, and reply, CPU temperature jumped to 50 but is now sitting at 47. Paint must really be CPU intensive or something crazy.

Ehh, mine SUCKS! I'm running a small scene in Unity 3D, skype, and 1 tab on IE and my CPU percentage is hovering around 30% and without running anything except for TF2 on lowest quality and it takes it to 100% and still lags like crazy on offline mode.

Thank you ;3 i have Ott Cpu heatsink which does its job pretty dam well. Using a antec 900 case, so in total i have 8 fans running with near perfect airflow to keep the monster cool! Was a pain balancing fan speeds to keep the airflowing correctly, had to use a blue non conductive powder to check it & tweak. Then i needed to completly clean it aha XD
