Ok, now I am trying to get a good handl on texturing in blender, so this model is sort of so so, but I managed to apply the texture with a lot of precision.

please any input at all would help, even "your models suck go away!"

JK man, That is a sick texture... the model could use a bit of smoothing, but the texture is marvelous

Part of the thing slowing me down, is I spent the better part of a year learning how to model with Bevel (the modeling tool not the modifier) and it looks like the Blender Foundation wants us to move away from Bevel (they took it out!) in favor of subsurf modifier, and setting the crease variables.

Something I only came to terms with this morning... But its off to work now.

For what its worth, now that I am using subserf and crease, I can see why they went that way.
