So, I was thinking we x10ers should have our own thread for model pack ideas. Please post your wish list for model and media packs here...and they just might happen...and they just might be free too.

Please include any thoughts you have about animations and behaviors (scripts), animated decals, etc. as well.

Cheers!

Thanks!!!

I'm excited about it. The illumination shader in x10 is so cool. If you mess with spec alpha channel a bit you can get it so that when you turn the lights down, your windows maintain the illumination and you can also make it so that the surrounding frame gets some illumination too.

Tell me what you would want for a blood pack. Are we talking animated decals or static decals? Given what I do for a living - make educational games for kids - I haven't really explored that area much. But I am very familiar with the pipeline for making animated decals and am always up for a new challenge.

So yeah, let me know and i will give it a shot. Also, I never sleep.

Cheers!

The snow pack is very cool, you should make the door on the cabin into a separate door too, so it can be used on buildings.

As for requests, I think that more characters would be nice.

Here is a cabin segment for your pack srealist. I will send you a bundle of the segments when I've got a few done.

Ignore the windows, it's just stock WWII.

Woah, that's awesome!!! Could you do some ice river segments that go along with a snow floor? Love your use of the spec and normal maps.

What program do you use for your normal map? Nvidia plugin or something else? Looks better than the Nvidia normal maps.

@ srealist I use Photoshop with the Nvidia plugin, works great as long as you only play with the settings a bit!

I'll whip up ice river segments for ya! Though I've never tried anything like it before.

The segments are great guys! I'll wrap up on the pack this coming week. I still want to add a few more shacks and some other odds and ends. I've got a pretty nice snow rat, axe, and few other fun items.

I just got a software tool that has kinda changed everything for me. I can't recommend it enough for texture generation, shader maps, tile-able textures, animated spites, special FX. It does everything.

FilterForge 3 beta. Free 30 day trial. You will LOVE it. Promise.

Wow this is really cool, I guess some of this is best for horror games? Correct me if I am wrong but I see that good for horror, anyway whatever game we use it, think it will be a great one, I am creating my own segments too, but I am not lucky to make a beautiful one just like yours and I end up deleting them lol... Anyway I would like to help, I will try to make a bloody segment that can compliment this pack. But I will just try, hope this time I will get lucky

This is very nice to see. I'm excited about the FPSC X10 forum getting back with new members and new ideas.
