i have 2 new girls in my life

first meet Red shes a 1937-38 morris 8 series 2 four seater tourer, she has seen better days & is missing her engine but we have most of the bits to rebuild her but its not going to be easy.
but i think with a bit of tcut & some air in her tyres we should be ok.

next is our Essex girl she is a 1936 series 1 morris 8 saloon, the photos below show her as we found her after being hidden away in a barn down in Essex for the last 40 years.

as you can see she is like brand new  & needs nothing but a quick dust down to be back in showroom condition

this is a father son project that is going to take some time to complete but i will keep you all posted

cheers henry

lol yes mate.it sort of looked like that before we loaded it onto the trailer but a lot of bits fell off before we got her home that said most of the body panels are in good shape so its not as bad as it looks.

a lot of it just rusted off and it seemes to be falling apart. I would be afraid to step on the frame for fear of breaking it

I love those style cars, nowadays most cars look like horrible little capsule shaped things, no personality like the old ones had.

I see you like 'em old.

Good luck with the rebuilding, I like the look of old cars have more personality to me then new cars.

I wouold buy some cheap 1950s Gaz M20 and also restore it.or maybe some other 70s/80s russian car but its not even worth it unless i have a garage with heating. The climate where i live doesnt allow to keep such cars outside, they will just rust away eventually.

Anyways, i have no money to afford stuff like that! But those are really nice cars. The first one you call "red" is in decent condition besides the front end, i imagine it would take quite a bit of advanced restoration to make that sucker look even near new.

The blue one, i think, is in amazing condition for it's age, a little bit rough on the edges but i think you could get her up and running in a little time (assuming the engine is in similar condition as the body)
