Oblivion is one of my favorite games ever. Morrowind too, though the gameplay is somewhat tedious in Morrowind. There are mods that fix the gameplay somewhat, but it's still got some serious issues. The world in Morrowind is far more interesting than Oblivion, however. In fact, Morrowind has one of the most interesting fantasy worlds ever. Of course it's the same world in all the games, just different provinces of the Empire. But Morrowind is the most unique and interesting of all the provinces. It's unfortunate that Morrowind got the treatment that it did in the book "The Infernal City".
Skyrim looks like it will be the #1 greatest game ever. I always play Nord warrior characters in the Elder Scrolls games anyway, so I might be somewhat biased compared to other Elder Scrolls fans.
@ Jeku
That mod looks amazing. The graphics look almost as good as Skyrim!
Quote: "also i think this would be really cool but beth should maybe make a game in a province we already played in earlier but in a different time period. For example, morrowind settings before the extinction of the dwemer or empire shortly after it fell apart."
My dad had the idea of making a mod for Skyrim (when it comes out) where you go back to Morrowind and explore the wreckage. In the book The Infernal City, which takes place between Oblivion and Skyrim, the province of Morrowind gets invaded by the Argonians and then blown up from Red Mountain. So it would be almost like Fallout 3 to go back to Morrowind in the new game, i.e. after the catastrophe, and pick through the ruins of the cities.
One more thing for the hardcore TES lore freaks like me:
What happened to Solstheim (from the second Morrowind expansion)? Both Morrowind and Skyrim claimed ownership of it. With Morrowind blown up and the Empire crumbling, will it now fall under Skyrim's political domain? Or is it just abandoned? According to the book, many Dunmer fled there after the Argonians invaded Morrowind. Maybe it will be Skyrim DLC?
Hail to the king baby
I love Evil Dead.
