I could say the same for someone who doesn't want to attempt to read the stickies that have taken quite some time to put together. If you dislike how things are handled here; you can always go elsewhere, I can assist you with that even. You attitude is not needed here.

For example; there is no name in your thread title (or FPSC version), which is found in the sticky you apparently didn't read...or chose to ignore.

Okie Dokie Sarge.Nice design man and why the fps is 58?.As I know if we created outdoor design,the fps will low.Anyway nice start but need more to be improve.

I find a number of things wrong with the snow screen.

The first is the ground - it is far too flat. You need to add heaps of snow, rocks, bumps in the terrain, anything to make it look more realistic.

The ground is covered in snow - but nothing else. The trees, house, fences and shrubs are completely devoid of any snow - it just looks strange. If you are going for a snowy scene, things need to be covered IN SNOW. You should think about retexturing your entities and adding layers of snow where necessary.

The sky is very, very ugly, made worse by the fact that you have no lightmapping. The whole thing looks grey and bland. Get rid of the default skybox and use a nicer one - a clear, bright blue winters sky perhaps? You also need to couple it with a large "sun" lightmap.

You can also clearly see the edge of the map (the snow walls). Why are they there? It gives no indication of a town beyond them. You need to flesh out the background of this map. Remove the snowy walls (they look ridiculous) and use fences, brick walls, building etc etc to block the players path. You also need to give an indication that there is life BEYOND the limits of the map.

You should also retexture the ruins (or whatever they are) in the background. The look completely different to the houses and are extremely out of place.

I always thought that according to the standard flakspec, decals only work for explosions on the floor and in the air - but for on impacts on the target we are bound to the standard smoke decal



If I am wrong, I'd be glad to learn how to customise the explosion decal on the target
