I love how dynamic the world is. You can be screwing around building a wall with lava for a few minutes and then turn around to find your other island has doubled in size from the rivers depositing soil!
Has there been another terraforming puzzle game before this?

Its not exactly a security issue or reason... it is to refresh the connected device list... a router can only have so many active/registered wi-fi clients on the allowed list before no one else can access the router to use the network... found out this the hard way... while doing my cisco back in college last year... the hard way because our tutor was lazy which meant those of us who brought our own laptops into class to use the network... couldnt and made bringing our laptops redundant essentially...

You should be thanking the IT department for being so nice to you lot lol... Sad to see they ruined a classic game. but if the update ruined the game cant the developer simply roll back the update for now until they fix it?

:\

Ahah, well... I suppose it's very true that buying PC games from ubisoft is a bad idea.

Still, this game is really awesome, and I hope other developers try to create something like it in the future.

I'm getting a refund still. Still been at it with steam support and i've finally heard back from them.

Quote: "Hello,

Ubisoft has just announced that they are working on a patch that will eliminate the need for any online authentication for From Dust. The patch will release in approximately two weeks.

If you don’t want to wait for the patch or if you haven’t played the game, per Ubisoft’s request, we will issue refunds for this title.

If you would still like your purchase of From Dust refunded, please reply to this ticket. "

So one poorly handled refund is gonna stop you buying any of their games, ever ever again?

That's... silly.

The poorly handled refund ? nah that's just steam being a business.

The poorly ported bug strewn game they hawked off to us with promise of greatness is what got me. Oh and that they tried to cover there mistakes by deleting the knowledge of it. Lucky for us people take screen shots all the time.

now what stops ME from playing ubisoft games?
DRM, huuuge huuuge shoey WORTHLESS DRMs. Never bought a game from ubisoft since assassins creed 2.

and EAgames boycotting Steam for their own EAstore... well, EA, go back to the shoe you came from. I ONLY play my games on steam: no steam = no purchase really. it's so much more convenient.

ofc retail games work too, but if i have to activate it on EAstore then no, get out of here EA.

and for the record, I am a man.

I should call you a fish-licking lunatic, but at least steam supports some indie games... could you honestly imagine indie games on the EA store

The PC controls for From Dust are just plain awkward. It's a decent game though.
