So i recently had an ipod shuffle 4G, and it battery behaved like crap. So i got a new one, which works fine, but for some reason i came to the conclusion that my computer had a bad power supply and that was hurting the ipod's battery during charging. So on my new one i always just use the other computer. But does it really matter, is it even possible for my computer to ruin an ipod battery? I know lots of AC adapters for charging batteries simply lower and then rectify the current, so the current isnt exactly smooth and the battery works fine. The reason i thought my power supply was unregulated was because sometimes my USB cooler speeds up and slows down, but i figured out why and it's not the computer doing it. But yah, im getting an ipod touch 4G tommorrow and i am trying to decide if i should get a USD$30 AC adapter for it. Answers appreciated

Let's see. (You'll probably think I'm anti-Apple, well noticed. )

Ipod Shuffle 4GB, in the UK costs £75 [href=http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/11719414/Apple-iPod-Shuffle-4GB-Pink/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cat:11719414|prd:11719414]Here.[/href]

Let's face it, the Ipod shuffles are pretty sucky. What you're paying for is the fact that it's apple, it's an ipod, it's "cool", whatever.

Or, there's [href=http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/12103211/Sandisk-Sansa-Clip-8GB-MP3-Player-Black/Product.html?searchtype=ELEC&searchsource=0&searchstring=8gb+mp3+player&urlrefer=search&strefer=ELEC&searchfilters=s{8gb+mp3+player}%2bc{321}%2b]this[/href], with an actual interface, double the storage space, and, surprise surprise, half the price.

I know what I'd rather have.

edit links aren't working, no idea why. It's late, probably something stupid.

Also, i have a USB charger rated at 5 volts for my Nikon camera. Would the iPod do ok on that??

ipod shuffle is just not worth it, there are plenty of other great mp3 players out there that are way better than shuffle, have radio, and i just really hate dealing with itunes
