Well i currently have iOS 4.3.5 running on my iPod touch 4G, and usually when i havent used the iPod for around ten minutes, when i use it, the animations on the home screen and settings menu are glass smooth. But as i use it, after about ten minutes, the animations begin to seem a bit choppy. However, games run totally smooth. Usually when i am scrolling in the settings menu, opening or closing the multitasking bar, or opening or closing an app are when the animations are the most choppy. This is when no apps are running, no bluetooth, push notifications, facetime, wifi, or any of that. If i leave the iPod for ten minutes and use it again, it works great! It's not unusable, its just a little annoying when it does this. Restarting and hard resetting dont make any difference. However, before today it was running iOS 4.3.3 and the animations were much more choppy. Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on?? Thanks!

Argh, you have so many problems with the damn thing that you should probably just take it to the apple store and tell them to make their products work properly.

Haha again, other than these little issues this thing is AWESOME! Haha I'm typing on it right now. I don't know, it seems to be suddenly working ok now...

Man it seems like there are a lot of anti Apple people here at TGC!

I think it's to be expected, AppGameKit will be the first TGC program to run on Apple products, I believe. So, it's been pretty much windows based around here.

Maybe, but you're have a lot of little issues, enough that would make me take it back while I still could before something major starts happening. They should just swap it out for another one if it's only been a week.

If its under a year old you can get it repaired for free unless you did something stupid like drop in down the loo.

Also if you extended the warranty you can have it serviced for three years.

If your a student or work in education check out the education store for apple as a lot of the products are cheaper or have the three year repairs thrown in.

The student deals are the only reason of working in education at the moment. No like the pension is great as the papers say we stand if we pay in to get a golden plated £5.50 more than the private pensions.

I'll add something later on.

Lol! Well i would consider getting it replaced, but from my experience and what i have heard about Apple repairs, usually you get something back that is a lot more crappy than the one you gave them to fix, so im sticking with what ive got. I might get the battery replaced though, but that too is getting better. There is a stuck pixel, but being that it is a retina display, it's nearly impossible to see it and i know screen fixing apps will help. The uneven backlight i have gotten used to as my dad pointed out that most LCD screens are that way, and there isnt much you can do about it. The choppy animations i have figured out to only be only when i have a few apps running, i guess i was wrong when i said the animations were bad with no other apps running.

Edit:
On Friday i will be going to a Walmart and getting my iPod replaced with a new one, the one i have now is just plain unacceptable and hard and annoying to use because of its screen, performance, and battery issues...

No it hasn't, just because google purchased the company "Android" before iOS was released, doesn't mean that the Android OS came before the iOS.

He doesn't want to know about the competition, he wants help with his iPod Touch. Stop Trolling.

So i did some research and 4.1 to 4.3 is notorious for its bad performance, so i guess ill just have to live with it... This forum here describes exactly what is happening to me: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2810459?start=0&tstart=0
