Greetings fellow TGC'nights.

For the past several months I've been working on client work from doing product renders and 3d diagrams, even some walk-through of designs...with only a small percentage of work pertaining to game development. Let's say about 2%...

This has unfortunately has gotten me into a creative slump over designing and creating new game media. Though my lost is your gain.

I'm taking a few requests in hope to re-fire the brain juices again. No restrictions on the media. Only ask for a brief description and or reference image to go along with the request.

If you're interested in characters, it would make my workload a lot easier if you could do something like this. Just a guy in a hooded jacket. I can't seem to pull it off myself.

Based on your Fantasy designs in the "100 models in 100 days" thread I would really appreciate the following:

- various skulls from animals or monsters (including oversized ones)
- single large animal/monster bones (or even a ribcage)
- Bone piles in different sizes combined from the above

All these would have a wide range of use like
- decoration in an alchemy room or a necromancers den
- signs of danger in a monster-infested cave
- specimens in a museum or research lab

You could really let your imagination run wild and afaik such models haven't been done so far

How about a growth type of object that can be placed in a room or next to walls? A little variation would be good.

Something along this style? I could make use of something like this and since horror games are on the rage with FPSC...
many people could benefit from a weird model like this too.

A tunnel version would be cool as well along with ones that would run along the wall. It is your call however.
Normal and spec maps on the object would make them look slimy too.. however, this doesn't have to be required.

Some alien characters like this would be cool too, this is the dead space baby thing I know but maybe not make it a baby monster? A spider like thing with stinger tentacles like this would be better. Would also go good with the growth models that ASTEK suggested above.

I was going to give this 24 hours but it seems to have grown faster then expected.

I'll most likely just do the models in order. I actually only looked at the first post on purpose to start so I wouldn't get distracted by other requests.

Personally I am not very much into the human characters.

At the end of the day everything we use in a game should fit well toghether - and human characters made from different artists rarely do.

IF characters, I'd prefer monsters.

everyone is to their own opinion. But depending, you do get some unique humans like Jon F's Civil Rebel guys (and girl).

What I always wanted to see is something like the Net of Beings, by Alex Grey:


My idea would be that it would make a very cool looking pillar, just one of the beings, then we would be able to just place them around. Here's another picture but with different colours to it:


That would be a very cool thing to see.

But I like how your hooded character is going, and the road block in all it's simplicity looks very good, a great texture job on it. I love how this is turning out, definetly following.

Hey I'm coming back to this tomorrow. This week was another busy one...

Just one question for the community. Is there anyone with a good x or motion capture file of the FPSC rig? This may seem strange but I can't seem to get it to load in truespace or fragmotion. I'll get it loaded and it'll play the animations fine, but when I got to rig to the model it literally freaks out. For some reason there are way more bones then there should be. I wonder if I'm exporting or importing the bones incorrectly...though I've never had trouble with something like this before.

The hood character is finished besides a rig...which I can't seem to get to work in TS, maybe it's just that program. *sigh

I might just skip him for now and work on the rest of the requests, which I'm cutting off as I've started a new project. I'll be continuing these models though.

I've come up with some kul ideas that I'll be working on for the rest of the year, dubbed the MCS projects. Just a set of mini-packs with a theme. Should help keep things interesting and diverse. Already have the first 3 designed and part way modeled and textured. Will probably post a wip thread just to get feedback and suggestions for model inclusions pertaining to the theme.

Heck I'll just post the hooded character model and maybe someone will be kind enough to get a working FPSC skeleton rig to work.
