So today I'm leaving mother's place to go live with a couple of people in a house so I can start attending a real University. Before I was going to a community college. I've gotten my Associates of Science there, and now I must swim with the big fish. I'll be getting my Computer Science at WSU in Washington.

Anybody have any tips for living with (partying people) people and still getting work done?

Might you know what kind of workload I'll be expecting?

Any helpful tips?

Anywho I'm excited for this, I can't wait. I leave in about 2 hours. So yea!

I'd suggest trying to make them have a deep obsession with tea. Otherwise, have a vast array of weaponry that you can hit them with when they start to annoy you. :3

Good luck!

Set aside time for uni work First I've had two friends fail there first year which cost them shy of £5000 and they gained nothing, all so they could go out another two days of the week and get legless.

Monday, Wednesday and Sunday are the three days I work on uni stuff. The days I'm in uni are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday were mine to be social. That trade off left me out of Monday madness a few other parties ect but it also got me a first class honours. I really cant say anything good about my drinking habits. Several *ahem* un-Gentleman pictures still exist to attest to it.

Basically organise yourself and you can get smashed as much as you want, have a great social life and more importantly get good grades.

Also its good to get to know your roomy's, get private food storage. Mini fridge/freezer, that'll save so much crap its unbelievable. Friend had £300's worth of food robbed in the dorms. People are lazy & inconsiderate at times Or just cheap so yeah.

pretty much it, jsut have fun ;D

haha thanks guys. I don't plan on doing any drinking, but only time will tell (Only 20 days till I turn 21 so yea )

Yea the schedule thing definitely sounds like a good idea. How did you budget your financials? Or did you not have to worry about that.

Aha budgeting was needed. Needed vs not needed.

Food and travel > Drink.

Budget out a weekly allowance. Anything left over from needed, Half rolled over to next week, half for fun. I paid my rent upfront per term so i didn't need to factor it in. All in all i had about £100 a week, £40(ish) for food, £5 for travel, £30 for play, £25 rolled for next week. After 2 weeks of saved excess i could take another night out.

Ill say this now. Dont get in a relationship, cost me £1k

You may have noticed us british are so used to you calling it "College" We assume you're british when you say university
But well done sir, allow me to hum you're national anthem for saying the correct word....

obviously, things don't cost the same in america, so you might want to fiddle with the proportions of budgets depending on costs of things and how much you actually have.

Legal age to buy alcohol here is 18. Legal age to drink is 16 as long as you have an > 18 year old 'supervising'.
