Ignoring every possible bad outcome that has been portrayed in movies (Matrix, Terminator, I Robot, etc), I'm actually a bit excited to see where this type of technology goes as it has always been fascinating to me.

I have got to say this is VERY interesting to say the least!! I like it! I just hope IBM doesnt get to a point where they make chips that will give robots the intelligence to take over the world!!

Irrigation of the land with seawater desalinated by fusion power is ancient. It's called rain.

I Robot the movie turned out bad only because they didn't do I Robot the book... they really just did the comic Magnis Robot Fighter.

The book is a bunch of short stories based on the 3 laws of robotics with the main character Dr. Susan Calvin talking about her experiences (and other people) with robots starting when she was a little girl.

Don't get me wrong though I liked the movie I just think it shouldn't of been named I, Robot. Sorry, I had to get that out of my system... I await our robot oppressors with anticipation.

I like the way IBM secures external funding. The cheeky blighters. Apparently $5 billion in profits isn't enough to fund their own work.

A questionably wise man once said "Get in debt, and stay in debt."
I suppose the idea is "Why use my own money when I can use someone else's?"

It's probably not a loan though but an investment. It's a smart way to push some of the risk onto other people.

After reading that my thoughts were: I wonder who said that *Looks at Plystire's location and will assume it is the leader of his country*

The quote is far more historical than our country's leader. And as Jerico pointed out, it's not referring to "bad debt" but to "good debt" which usually points towards investments with larger returns.
