(If this belongs somewhere else, I'm sorry.)

Been away for a while and I am confused and a little frustrated trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.

Is there a list somewhere of everything that is Win7 compatible?
(including TGC official products, for sale plug-ins, free plug-ins etc).

Specifically I am interested in the 2D Plug-in kit. Does this work? I tried downloading the sample, but I can't run the compiled app; it crashes with no info or solution.

I was interested in the Dark Studio Bonanza (seemed like a god price although I own a number of items included),, specifically Dark AI, DarkNet, Dark Physics, Dark Lights: Are these compatible? but there were a few items I happened to be interested in that aren't win7 compatible. eg. eXtends.

Am I safe in assuming that anything that doesn't specifically say "Not Compatible with (Vista) or Win7" is going to work?

Thanks for your help

*Also, I still cant get 3d Crafter 9 to work. If anyone can help me with that as well. The install from my products page doesn't work. I tried downloading the free trial (as I read in a thread somewhere) and then enter my FULL registration key, but unfortunately the Free trial just hangs at the splash page. I have tried giving it Admin Privs, as well as trying combination of compatibilty modes to no avail.

Thanks again if someone can help me fix that as well

Quote: "After renaming to 3DCrafterTGC.msi I could install the program."

Maybe that would work?

@Eminent,

Thanks. That change did get the installer from the download in 'My Products' to work. But Launching the resulting .exe after installation, still hangs on the "loading..." splash page. The App just stalls. Any ideas?

I dunno, my download worked just fine. Didn't have to rename anything.

With Re to 3D Crafter. Neither of version 9's (both TGC and Amabalis's) worked after the install. I went to amabalis's site, and downloaded an older version 8.2.7 and the program executes fine. So something in the latest version must of broken. Not sure why I would be the only person having the issue though. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I use Win 7 and own almost all the TGC products and have no issues. Just turn your UAC off or adjust it. Compadability typically dont apply to windows, its more Linux based from my exp.

@old_School,,

Thanks... turning off UAC completely fixed the issue of 9.1 not getting past the Splash Screen. I thought that running as Administrator was effectively the same thing. I guess not.

Any hints to your first coming back project? If anything we'll know it'll have a good story.
