Normally I groan at video game proposals but that was actually pretty fantastic, both were game geeks so it's appropriate when you think about it then add the amount of effort that went behind it you gotta think that actually, that's pretty sweet.

So I concur, Epic Win.

That was truly special if you ask me. I applaud the creativity.

It was well made, I give it that...

But proposals in a video game just do not work well for me. It doesn't have that romantic atmosphere that being in person at a romantic place would have. And it's just too nerdy for me lol.

I'd say it's very romantic, it's not something I'd do but at the end of the video I did kind of feel, "daaaaw ain't that sweet". Love is unconventional, so I applaud people who are creative and thoughtful about it rather than abide to some kind of text-book idea of romance, like the candle light dinner and the bowing on one knee.

Maybe I'm just not nerdy enough because I don't think it is at all lol. I give him props for putting the time and effort into it and it turned out very well made. But aside from that, it's still a game proposal and I think it takes nerdy a little too far lol. But that's just me, I'm not a very nerdy guy.

It's not like it was one of those over the internet proposals, don't forgot that he was there with her at the time and had a ring and everything, this was just like a fancy, more gimmicky way of asking xD

Aye, they're nerds, so what nerds are going to do is gonna be nerdy. Some reason I liken getting Glados to propose for you is like getting Paul McCartney to do it but for a game geek and building the game is like getting a load of people to put on a spectacle, maybe fireworks display during a sunset. Either way it's something personal.

As Redneck Rambo, I'm sure you'll spell out "Will you marry me?" with the blood of the Vietcong whislt looking out into the sunset eating your roadkill barbecue and it will be beautiful. (I jest of course)

It's cool, but still not romantic, just nerdy, like those cheesy in-game WoW proposing.

The thing about a proposal is it should fit with not only your character but your partner's as well. Obviously the two are very nerdy, they both love Portal (I mean.. I can't see someone who DOESN'T like portal getting through those chambers), and thus his proposal was perfect for them.

I think proposals reflect the relationship, and if you know your loved one as well as you should, you can come up with the perfect way of asking, in a way that you'll both remember forever.

Not every proposal would fit for every relationship, while one method would be awe-inspiring to some it may be downright insulting for someone else.

@ Laz
That was actually a commercial and not a real marriage.
