Good luck!

BTW, you might want to ask a mod to move this over to the geek culture board, rather than letting it sit here in FPSC Chat. Because it has nothing to do with FPSC, a mod will probably lock it. I hope I'm not sounding mean or rude or anything, but I'd hate to see a perfectly good thread get locked.

Your not the only ones. I'm at NYC and it's getting pretty bad over here...

Already a few downed trees and a car accident on one of the highways...

Irene has really showed me what a hurricane, even though just a large CAT 1, can do...

I hope everyone manages to stay safe. After going through Cyclone Yasi earlier this year I know just what you are going through.

I don't really wanna live where there are tons of hurricanes, but I've always wanted to ride one out.

One of my career dreams was to be a storm chaser.

... and with that the hurricane burst into a thousand unicorns and fluffy bunny rabbits, of all colours of the rainbow.

I lost power last night at 11 and didn't come back on until 3pm today. I even ventured outside! Luckily there was cloud cover so the evil sun didn't burn my skin, but I survived. It was a struggle, but I made it

Just got power back on yesterday. Very insane storm. Vermont probably got hit hardest out of anywhere from the flooding. Right now there are a lot of people only getting food from helicopter drops. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dztomuXD0k&feature=player_embedded This shows a lot of damage. Probably at least 20,000 people left in New England without power.

Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn. Especially if she's a hurricane.
Why do they give them such friendly names? Hurricanes should be called things like DEVASTATOR and CHAOS.

Glad to hear it has calmed down over there now. Good luck with the clean up.

You know what we got in Western PA? Clouds and wind. That's it. Must suck for you people on the coast though, good luck with the cleanup.
