Do note that you're using servers that aren't -THAT- far away. It's not hard to get a decent download speed from within your own country. ;] It's more impressive to get one from say, Europe in your case.

O2 Mobile Broadband...although this ping was measured from their server to the test one, rather than from this laptop, which is odd.

DL speed is alot quicker than that normally too.

WAIT WAIT HANG ON A MINUTE THERE.
Mnemonix is using BT and he has his connection faster than 95% of Britain? You've got to be kidding me.
Im using BT and my connection is nowhere as good, I get my ping over 900 when playing counter-strike, cable or not.

Here's mine:

My plan for today: 1. Wake up. 2. Live 3. Go to sleep.

This is what I'm getting right now at home, but it is unreliable and has random slow spurts. I did a speed test the other day when it was going slow, and it was only at about 2 Mbs.

Not exactly fast, but still better than the days when I still had DSL 384 (50 KB/s download, 15 KB/s upload - now 600-700 KB/s download, 50-65 KB/s upload)... and a lot better than the "golden" time of Modem's (thank fsm, that I was too young to spend time at the computer back then ).

To all the young adults out there just barely paying the bills, don't feel too bad if your internet is slower than most of the other posters, because their parents are paying for the internet connection. Just wait until they hit the real world and realize the $150 bill for TV and internet is just a wee bit high.

I think my parents would do that if they didn't use the internet as much as they do.
