Hi guys,

What are the oldest DarkBASIC demos you still have kicking around? I'd love to player them for purely nostalgic reasons

I think I have Lightcycles somewhere, and probably Axes of Evil.

Oldest demo I remember was that Dr Av marble madness effort. Probably about 2000. Doubt I have a download though. I did a Trail Blazer clone in about 2001 but again dunno where the code is

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

The two Equilibrium demos were what made me purchase DarkBasic Pro at the time. Those demos and especially their presentation are still excellent in my opinion.

Darkland is still up

http://www.colorarts.de/darkland/darkindex.htm

And there's a hidden update for it too:
http://www.colorarts.de/darkland/dlupd.zip

Simply download the demo from the first page and then download the second one and copy the files into your darkland folder

Have fun with it

[update]
Oh and for nostaliga reasons (and because it's now 10 years later!) there's also a secret game included in the main menu. Simply click on "Credits" and then doubleclick on the upper right corner of the window.

[update_2]
Press Space in the game to jump

Life is good!

Fantastic, Hubdule! I remember drooling over Darkland all those years ago.

Does anyone have Cyber Control Alpha? Does DigAw still haunt these parts?

We should definitely create a DB Retro Games Archive. It'd be worth it!

They were awesome. I liked the fact they released the source code too, but back then I didn't understand how it worked, I'd love to get my hands on that again...especially as I'm trying to work on a game with similar gameplay. If anybody has a link that still works, I would appreciate it.

And I wonder whatever happened to the guys who made it, I remember they were working on some other projects and then one day, their website just disappeared.

I don't have any around, which sucks because I'm getting all nostalgic just thinking about them.

Does anyone remember Pea Guy? It was amazing!

Hey,
quite a nice stack of games!
just tried Ballon: cool idea
But I don't want to hurt my keyboard that much

And Snowland looked nice, too. You could have easily made that into a great game, like let players run around the houses and throw snowballs or something...

P.S.:
