Hi all, I'm just curious as to your opinion on selling terrains. I'm going to be selling my terrains and terrain packs I make, and would like to know how much you guys would pay for one single, over 1 million polygons model, heightmap, texture map, color map, and normals map? I also do lo-poly versions of the model as well. Which are saved as seperate model files.

Well, I will be uploading an example model as well as an example heightmap, texture map, color map, and normals map to this post VERY soon. (After I get home from work) ^_^ You can take a look at it then!

Can someone explain to me why people buy terrain models? Surely they'd be tailored for a game? And isn't it really easy to make one with a 3D modeler?

O good for you. Your copyright laws are almost the same as ours. ANYway. I will be posting up a huge, high-quality terrain demo & video in a few hours to a day or so. I am just SO beat from work.

Wow, I really wasn't meaning to offend, honest! I was really interested on why people sell or buy terrains. Honestly, I've never been in the market because I don't make 3D games. Oh well!
