Covert Operations - Outbreak -

Developed by Help Bugs!

Is an Action Orientated FPS

Made With v1.18 official release with WASP mod v2

Set in the town of Halbad A small town in central Iran was sighted whilst flying over by Special operations.
There where reported to have been absolutely no civilians or lifeforms present. This was too strange to ignore. The Covert Operations Team where sent to investigate.
What they found will shake the very foundations of existence.

Been Working on this for just over 2 weeks now and I'm happy with progress.

Credits .
Errant Ai (Models, Animations, Ai)

Doomster (Segments)

Bug 1: (FIXED)
Skybox Will not load. (all 6 files are there) Even If I use a stock skybox. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=189153&b=28

Bug 2: [/b](FIXED)
In built Game Weapon Sounds often don't work.

Bug 3: [/b](FIXED)

When testing a built game it will load forever and the game doesn't start.
I've tryed with and without Wasp mod.
If I build the second smaller level on its own it works fine.
I think it's because I'm other the 1.85gig memory cap and I used the tutorial on how to overcome that. When loading the light mapping it gets to 1985mb then goes back down and the final memory for the level is 1.65gig

If I lower my Lightmapping texture size to anything below 512
I get

Bug 4: (not fixed But manage to optimise 512)
When using any lightmap resolution below 512 (256, 128) Some of my entities that have white on them glow really brightly.

The screenshots don't look bad, but make the rooms smaller and fill them up with a lot more entities. Additionally, use different textures for the ceiling and floor.

Thanks for the advice.

I've put most of my effort into the big outdoor level bug I'm getting light mapping and skybox bugs so I haven't put up many screen shots of that level.

I was mainly working on the lightmapping in these screenies and I will be adding more entities shortly. thanks for the tips

Are U using dynamic lights?
It just looks like, but static ones are looking much better.

Also it looks a bit empty.

BUT it has potencial.

Oh ok are your lights white or more grey?
Becaus eit would look much better if the lightning would be more intense but maybe thats just me.

I like it, you shouldn't overpopulate places with unnecessary amount of stuff in there, but maby you could try some overlays or something, all in all, looks quite good, I agree about the ceilings.

I agree, it obscures the weapon a bit

I must say that this actually looks really cool! Keep it up!

This game looks very promising. Keep up the good work.

With your permission I would love to put this game on the news of my website. Warheadsoftware.com

if that is okay with you?

the website is a FPSC Website. Just started it. Trying to get some content on it.

But keep up the good work I will definitely keep checking back for more updates!

Could you please e-mail me a demo of the game? So I can be the first website to write about it? Thank you.

E-mail is avid@warheadsoftware.com">David@warheadsoftware.com

if not I'll just write about from how it looks. But it's better to get an exclusive preview to write about something.

You know Wasp Mod isn't allowed on this Compo...

Quote: "Free/custom media (models, textures, sounds, scripts, mods, etc) be commercial use permitted licenses only. Non-commercial/Private use media can not be used in your entry, unless your the creator."

Wasp Mod V2 is not for commercial projects. SC said he would be making a new version that would cost money and be for commercial and non-commercial projects.

Cheers.

God help me, Please.

Cool level designs and lighting however, if you could make the shadow more lighter I guess it will look much better. The shadow casting are too dark. But all in all, your work is great!
