Pretty much this...

And INH is just jealous that Jeku showers all with love, except him. Perhaps Jeku's just not a Worcestershire Sauce man and you being from Worcester, it can't be helped. Set him even by declaring that you dislike Canadian bacon.

Man...why do I come up with such crap?

On a serious note, this is a great place to mingle with folk, if you need help with the game making process there's a lot of intelligent (and non-intelligent) people to offer useful advice and help. Of course it's not as easy as 'gimmeh teh codes', but I'm sure you can find something plenty useful...as well as make friends - as you can probably tell from pointless banter, we're friendly, I hope.

Halley; welcome. You might consider adding your obvious talents to the Best Game Ever

It's currently still in production; though I'm told they may have it finished by the end of the week.....

Worcester Sauce is pretty much universally hated here in the Worcs, although the 'other' Worcester Sauce, Lea & Perrins, is absolutely amazing. Seriously, a fried egg with a bit of L&P is the perfect food.

Also, no bacon imports. British meat all the way

Agreed, L&P is pretty awesome. English bacon is also pretty awesome, can't judge Canadian bacon, I've never had it.

Now you see halley, there's something you would probably never learn in China. Canadians think that ham is bacon. Let's not tell them any different, eh?

Maybe Canadian Bacon is different outside of America lol. But here, Canadian Bacon is just a small slice of ham.

I've never even seen Canadian bacon, didn't even know what it was, I just assumed that given its name that it'd be bacon. Well, I'll be sure to not make that mistake again, after all in the UK we have a dish called 'Spotted Dick'.

Apparently it's now legally called "Spotted Richard," for obvious reasons since it originally sounded like a diseased penis, or so eight year olds would giggle.

Agreed!

Canadian bacon is something that Americans refer to as back bacon or ham. In Canada, we have both ham and bacon. Not sure why they call it Canadian bacon in the US. I should really ask someone about that!

Back bacon, well that makes a lot more sense, so I take back what I said. I love Canadian (back) bacon, it's my favourite kind...just from pigs grown in the UK. Canadian bacon is just bacon in the UK, if you ask for bacon, it's what you're going to get.

I'm guessing the US has a thing for streaky bacon and Canada has a thing for back bacon...or at least enough to form a stereotypical image. As for Canadian bacon being both ham and bacon, I'm just gonna say, it comes from the same part of the pig.

And how did I turn this thread into being about bacon? Man, I need to keep a lid on it.

Jeku, it's because us American folk are weird and insist on adjusting (logical) spellings of words (colour vs color, personally I think it makes more sense with the u left in), and we rename things even if they're the exact same thing over here.

Oh yeah, our public education system also sucks. Big. Especially compared to European schools with higher-level math at grade 5 than we have in college...

The threads that can spawn from Spam Bot attack ...

For the record, I think crispy streaky bacon is the best tasting, but back bacon is what I buy, because buying streaky bacon is like putting your arteries in the hands of Mr Colesterol and asking him to do his worst.

You gotta put streaky on your roast meats though. Back bacon in those circumstances is a travesty!

Creative computing.

Basically everything aimed towards game design, 3D modelling, databases, programming, Html, theory ect. Its hits all the foundation areas on the first year, then choose certain modules to suit what i want to done. 3D modeling and database's, animation, programming and a few others. Third year i narrow down again and i get a specialised degree in what i choose.

Pretty good really.

damn this kb, as much as i try its way too small for me sorry for the typos, went back and edited it lol, nice one for spotting that one lol, but yeah an English major is what i means, its the SHIFT key that kills my typing, I killed 2 keybaords this year, just waiting to open my shop then I will replace this shoddy hp spare KB, Anyhoo, the English Degree + CompSci is just to get a visa while living abroad in future... what a wasteful world this has become when you must have a piece of looroll to declare your abilities...

Also not bothered to get the degree in English to fix my typos, just to basically have an English Degree to get a Teaching Job a lot easier, though they do generally accept any Degree to apply for your Visa where i plan to go... so I might just get a CompSci degree alone. thanks Laz for that info was very helpful for me to understand the EDU system, have never and quite likely never going to understand it ever.

The Bachelor of Education is a 4 year degree course. It's not just a certificate that says you can teach. It's a real degree.

I love everyone...now I can't be acused of favourtism.

Also, for teaching, my friend did Education Studies BA followed by a PGCE(Primary). I can see how English (which would be English Literature as opposed to Language, or at least it was at my Uni) would be useful. My housemate/flatmate of 3 years studied English and he pretty much felt by the end it was a waste of his time and it's one of those courses with a limited scope, but of course I think it's always good to seek good careers advice. In fact I'd recommend it to EVERYONE who's considering University, though obviously not all careers advice is good.
Just bear in mind you're about to spend a crap load (and with increase fees, a crap load more) money for the next 3 years, you will want to make sure that money is well spent, after all your education is an investment. This is probably the best advice I can give to people at your stage.

I am on about the one year long short course certificate, its not a degree >.< its a one year training course that you can take along side your final BA year to jump into the EDU sector... foreign schools accept this as oppose to a teaching Degree which is compulsary in the UK for teaching in High Schools in the UK... argh lol anyway, Whos up for some Chicken Nuggets?

You mean a PGCE (AKA A Postgraduate Certificate in Education), having one is pretty much a requirement for teaching.

I know teaching someone to teach... mind blown... When I did my teaching degree I had to learn words like pedagogy, and lots of acronyms because teachers like talking in their own private language and confusing people around them...

Secret language? I remember seeing the National Union of Teachers being scribbled somewhere at school...also known as 'NUT' and given some of my teachers, I wouldn't have been surprised if they were NUTs themselves.
