A game I'm making to get to grips with AGK.

w,a,s,d to move space to shoot. LMB to start a game.

Kill the aliens, dont get hit it will stop you from shooting for a while. Only 4 bullets at a time.
You get points for hitting the Aliens but lose points if you miss, also if you get hit by the aliens.
Only 5 levels. See what score you can get.

Issues to work on next
Takes a bit to load with a white loading screen, mainly a chunky music file but I didnt want to leave it out.
It ends suddenly. Needs a proper ending.
Explosion offset position needs fine tuning.
I will do an online score board as well.

Some sounds and graphics are placeholders.

I think it's pretty good. Here's some critz tho'
1) The momentum on the player ship should be a little faster to build.
2) The bullets from your ship fire so slowly that the fast moving invaders still smash into them, making it easy to finish each level.
3) There was a green bullet in the middle of screen that remained - like a dead bullet - suggest putting a timeout on bullets rather than waiting til they leave the screen.
4) Nice graphics. Easy control - will this be tilt controlled?
5) Satisfying to complete each wave - perhaps a wave message?
6) The speed up with the aliens is too soon. Change the increment - especially on the earlier waves.

I get white boxes for the hits.
Nice game though.
Gotta love remakes of the classics.

1) I will have a go at this.
2) I will make the bullets faster
3) I will sort that, same problem is happening with the explosions.
4) Tilt control, I will wait to get my new phone and take a look at that. good idea.
5)Yeah, wave messages and end screen etc need doing.
6)Agree,some tweaking here and there.

I tried it on a few pc's, I got white boxes on my daughters Samsung netbook. Not sure why, its just a png image strip. I will
take a look at it.

Its not meant to be too hard to finish a level, more a case of making every shot count. I was thinking the score would be replaced with an energy counter which you lose if you miss but regain when you destroy an alien. When your energy reach's 0 you would expire.

Original post has updated version.
Tweaked the gameplay, issues with bullets sticking on screen sorted.
White box issue sorted, the image strip was too big.
Added some messages here and there.

You will know expire when you lose Energy.
Still want to add a high score table.

Will still tinker with it but will be starting a new project, maybe this weekend.

Again any feedback very much appreciated.

Pretty kul. Fast paced and keeps you moving. Though I seemed to run out of energy real fast. I tried to edit your graphics, but they were 'unavailable' If you want some new graphics, just send me an email.

I might look in to some more graphics at some point.

I think I will do more work on this game, add more levels different aliens, start and end screens. Get a finished game under my belt.
I will still be starting a new project, just bouncing some ideas around.
