FPSC Classic Models and Media / realistic blood?

I need some one to make realistic blood for me. Like in Doom 3 or any of the Fear games.

Im willing to pay if I must, but it needs to be good quality.

Any help is very much appreciated

What is the blood for? Decal? HUD blood?

Im thinking more like overays. The game is a scify horror alot like doom. So I want more of a variety of blood splaters and smears all over the place. I have a few decent ones, but nothing as good as I would like, and not nearly enough to keep it non repetitive.

Go on cgtextures and look under splatters, there are some good ones in there and after you add a bit of brushwork and normalmapping the look good.

You should use it carefully and set it in scene better, otherwise it will become boring and overused or even comedic (evil dead 2)

If you want to go for an in your face fun shooter like Doom 3, go with this LINKEDY LINK (click on splatter). You just need to put some Alphamap on these(google..use it!), save them as png and make a copy of any overlay you already have and replace the texture. Repeat this until you have enough.

However, I strongly advice again placing gallons of blood in all your levels. It will simply look silly.

Erm, may be you can have a hole new type of horror, A FUNNY ONE, heheh

Not a Dig at you Wolf but i know what you mean, over using items in a game can be a killer, but what can look good is to have blood running down the wall, or dripping from the ceiling with the sound of plopping/dripping blood on the floor,

That will give better effect, and you don't have to over use it, as you can have so many variations that would not show to much of the same.

And so when killing a character, set your charcater destroy script to destroyandactivate, and enter the name of the entity into the (if Used) slot and then set your Entity not to spawn at start.

and so after you have had a good killing sprei there will be nice gooy dripping blood from the entity that you have made.

This method is only good for where the chrarcter stays in the same spot.

But realy if you put one blood animated blood infront of a character by one square, then majority of the time you will be killing it in and around by the blood entity,

and so i would not use on large rooms, as Wolf hase mentioend to much is silly!

But in those nice spooky corridors it should work fine

Thanks guys I should be able to get what im looking for.

Oh, and I don't have a tone of blood. But enough where what I allready have is starting to become repetitive. I just want a little more variety to the blood.

funny horror, tons of blood ... and a lawnmower as a weapon!!! reminds me of a movie by a little big guy from new zealand...pete?...brain?...jacks? ...dead.^^

oh Blood, that just reminded me of an idea, i have a Digital Microscope, and i think i could splatter some real blood onto a glass slide and digitise it. and see how well that could come up:

Here is in TGA format with normal and specular maps.. And in FPSC you have to put your overlay in dynamic mode because texture uses semi-transparency.
