Why didn't you put that all in one post? A quadruple post is absolutely unnecessary.

definitly better than my grades, since i dont know grading system outside of sweden:
ig - icke godkänt (not passed)
g - godkänt (passed)
vg - väl godkänt (lets say this is A)
mvg - mycket väl godkänt (this would correspond to A+)

i have a total of TWO vgs, 6 igs and the rest is g's...

1900 points in total, need 2250 for continued studying or to get a work based on points. (a course is 50-100 points)

My grades as of current arent very good... (i blame this on me being an artist!!!) XD

and for the record, I am a man.

That's some pretty bizarre school if that's how they describe your letter grades.

It used to be based on percentage of 100.

A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 90
C = 70 - 80
D = 60 - 70
F = anything below 60 or.... FAIL!

I have no idea what it is now, since schools don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by failing them.

Brian.

EDIT: Oh, and those are good grades Slayer267. Is that all of them, or did you just post the passing ones?

Here's the system in BC.

A 86-100%
B 73-85%
C+ 67-72%
C 60-66%
C- 50-59%
F 0-49%

I think it was different in Alberta. For the sake of it, this is what I got last year.

Animation 72, English 72, Math Foundations/Pre-Calc 61, PE 67, Planning 76, Science 80, Socials 76, Wood 80.

Lulz. Ontario's education system is so nice, it doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

80-100 = A
70-89 = B
60-69 = C
50-59 = D
0-50 = F

To be honest, I don't know how anyone can get a F but apparently it's possible.

Grading system Luxemburg:

50 - 60 -> Godlike
40 - 50 -> Dominating
30 - 40 -> Okay
20 - 30 -> Bad/ Not sufficient
10 - 20 -> FAIL
01 - 10 -> YOU SHALL NOT PASS (I only had that in Math once...)

Than they do rate you on how you tread others, how you work in class, how you respect school material, how you behave and how often you miss.

I've seen a 5-scale system in some places in the US...
5 = A
4 = B
3 = C
2 = D
1 = F
0 =
___

Pretty basic, really.

I know triangle = A+

but the rest... it just seems silly and theyre considering putting it into.. second high school (cant describe that any better lol, there is highschool for 7-9 grade and then after that there is a 3year school called highschool aswell)

ANNND for universities

theyre claiming its a "better system" when in reality it is EXACTLY the same, just that it uses symbols instead of words.

In Australian high schools we have S or N
Satisfactory or not satisfactory.
you get a t.e.r score from your final year 12 exams which is a percentage score used to allocate spaces in uni.

At T.A.F.E you get S or N with no exam, you either pass or fail.

At uni you still get percentage scores as far as I know.

I think...
75+ = distinction
60+ = credit
50+ = pass
<50 = fail

depending on the course and institute.

when I studied at SAE 75% was a pass and they didn't give out credits or distinctions.

interesting reading the different grading systems used, I just thought it was all the same.

But wasn't it up on the wall to change the grade system to A-F here in Sweden? I remember the debate about that a few years ago (08/09). Can't remember if it was dropped or if it's still a concern. I believe it was Center that first suggested it.

Here it's 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4. And
10=Expert
9=Hard
8=Advanced
7=Normal
6=Easy
5=Very easy
4=Your system can't run this software

Except now that I went to IB school it's from 7 to 1. Or something like that.

Wow... Bunch of weird grading systems out there

I'm with Brian on this... My grades are all based off of a 100. Anyways, jeez, you start with an A Slayer? We start with an 0 then work our way up. I won't post my grades cause they are all F ATM due to me missing the first 2 weeks of school but last year it was looking like:

AP Calculus BC: A
AP French: A- (No idea why people even take languages really??)
Literature: A (Scraped through lol)
AP US History: A
AP Biology: A
Engineering Design and Dev.: A

Shoot... I'm surprised I still managed to have a life And a girlfriend last year when I see that list LOL Hoping to make it into MIT though so it'll all pay off in the end

@Quik: Man! You guys got weird names in Sweden!!

Cheers,
Anayar
