It didn't compile. What's "a2starttrianglebatch"? Some comand from a plugin?

oh yes it is a very usefull 2D plugin that i use for fast 2D stuff.
it also has a great command "a2setblendmode" with wich you can do quite cool stuff, check it out it can be found here on the forums.

if you dont want it but still want to try out my code, just remove the commands a2starttrianglebatch and a2endbatch
and change the a2fillcircle to something else ( that makes a circle or sprite w/e )

I played around with it! This version doesn't need a2D and runs on both DBP and DBC:

Since performance can be wildly different between DBC and DBP (and different computers) I added a crude "render manager" (as I called it) to manage the number of particles drawn and maintain a healthy FPS.

Turn the gravity up and things get weird. at around 30-50 it looks like an atom, then at about 300 there's a magnetic field effect, then at 1100 everything is pushed to the sides with the odd "bolt" shooting inwards, and it crashed at 1500 with a divide by zero error. I have a feeling that the secret of the universe is at 1500.

nice. thanks obese for me though it didnt crash. after 2000 it looks the same though ( checked until 7000 )
