I've been meaning to ask this for a while and am finally finding time to write this post as it may be a lengthy one. I'm trying to edit a few of
bond1's shaders to do more things than they were initially designed to do and I just don't know how.
Firstly, he was kind enough to post how to add illuminant map support to his normal/spec map shader for segments. Unfortunately this method doesn't work on his static entity shader as well. On top of that he recently updated said shaders to use dynamic light as well, and the above edit unfortunately doesn't seem to work with the new update, though I could be doing something wrong as I'm quite awful at editing shaders.
Also, I was wondering if there was a normal/spec/illuminant map shader for dynamic entities that worked in both lighting types and if not, how would I go about making that happen.
On top of that, two more questions have arisen: Does the animated texture shader allow for transparencies? I tried to make a hologram-thing that was part translucent and part transparent, but the transparent bits were blue and the translucent bits were opaque. Also, is there a way to have part of an entity (like a TV) have normal/spec mapping and another part (like the screen) have an animated texture effect? I know it would mean heavily editing and merging two or more shaders, but can it be done?
I just don't know

I'm going for a very crisp feel for my current project and the inconsistencies in the effects are driving me batty! I really hope that someone can give me indepth info on how to get this done, or better, offer to do them for me (for a fee I presume) or even better if
bond1 (or
Dark Goblin) decides that these are must haves, whips them up and distributes them to the masses for free

What! A guy can dream can't he!?
Thanks for the help!
