@bruce3371

There's three possibilities. 1) you got hit in the head, and now suffer amnesia 2) the trauma of dealing with Windows ME on a daily basis has led you to repress your painful experience. 3) You're one lucky user! You managed to achieve the pinnacle of the windows user experience, a fully working hardware solution for Windows ME. If I had been there to observe it, I'd have entered submitted it to the guinness book of records.

@Grog Grueslayer

lol! I think 99% of Windows ME users losing their motherboards to ME is a claiming a little too much lol. Mind you, 99% of users bricking their motherboards because they were stupid enough to flash the BIOS from Windows ME... that I could believe. It wasn't unusual back then either. I remember buying a motherboard around that time, simply because it had a dual BIOS chip setup. If I bricked one, the other one would take over, and reflash itself.

I'm almost disappointed that I never bricked that motherboard just to see if it worked, perhaps I'll digg it out and flash it from ME. I've still got a copy somewhere... Oh yeah, I nailed it's CD-ROM a church with a nail blessed by the pope, a chain of garlic, a bottle of holy water that will shatter if the disk is touched, and a photo of Bill Gates with face scratched by a drawing pin and the word DIE written over the white shreds.

I did mention I worked MS TS right? Perhaps I should sue for mental anguish.

Even more lucky considering that same working hardware solution works perfectly well with all 3 of my OSs!

Here is my 'Magic' hardware solution;

AMD Athlon XP2100
1GB DDR ram
Nvidia GeForce 6200
Creative Audigy Player
80GB HDD (ME), 160GB HDD (XP), 80GB HDD (Ubuntu)

A bit of a dinosaur I'll admit, but it's given me years of faithfull service, and does everything I ask of it, so I've got no plans to upgrade it anytime soon. I'd rather stick with what I know works!

@ Daniel TGC:

Yeah, it's more like 98%... I've only see 2 computers survive for years without ME destroying the computer. Hahaha I'd sue too if working for them made me slightly more crazy than I am now.
