I bought the game on Saturday and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with the whole thing from the graphics to the storyline however the gamespot review doesn't seem to share the same opinion as they only gave it a 5.5

Now is it just me or are they being a little harsh I mean there are not many military flying games around these days.

But I do confess that the helicopter pilot missions aren't great.

Never played it, but if they didn't pay the gamespot reviewers, or put them up in a fancy hotel, or bribe them in some other way, then how would the reviewer know to give it a good score? (Been having a few cynical review conversations recently!)

I have a videogame sitting on my shelve here.. a pure insult to gamers.
The first Two Worlds... however, the cover has 5 game magazine scores on it and some give it even 9/10. There must be bribing going on there.

About Ace Combat: I've seen it and its awesome. The combat is intense, the visuals are fantastic and the sound rocks...what more do you want from a fighter jet game?

I agree two worlds was rubbish and ace combat is as good as it looks which is very.

Advice if you want an RPG then you can't go wrong with oblivion.

God bless Bethesda

And since we're on the topic of under hyped games I should bring my attention to driver San fransico.

The Framerate is a constant 60fps, the draw distance is huge, the environment is huge and accurate, a decent selection of cars, satisfying handling, film director mode is easy to use and a certain mode that I find to be quite rare nowadays and that is split screen, and for split screen you can go around the entire area no matter how far away you are from each other also pedestrians still populate the streets and the fully detailed interior view for every car is still available while maintaining a constant 30fps.

What a game.

I bought this the other day on a whim. I haven't bought an air combat game since I had my master system. So far it's been pretty cool.

I love the Dog Fight Mode.

I'm not a fan of the mission lengths though. I sat down last night to have a quick sortie before bed. 1hr later and I'm just finishing up the mission. The way this specific mission was designed with 2 separate fights in different aircraft could have been done over 2 missions.

Also Driver: San Francisco is fantastic. I love the switch mechanic and it really got me into a racing game. A lot of driving games these day seem to be more simulation than fun. This was arcade driving at its best.

I have Ace Combat 6 but hadn't looked into this one yet, other than hearing the name. How's the multiplayer? That was my favorite part of 6, nothing like dogfighting real people
