Is there no way to carry two parameters to a function like such?

YouAre("Name", "Age")

Function YouAre(string1$, string2$)
`do something
endfunction

I for the love of God can not figure out how to get two parameters and it not error out

You'll need to be a little clearer on what the problem is, because the code you posted works fine:

YouAre("Name", "Age")
wait key
end

Function YouAre(string1$, string2$)
    print string1$
    print string2$
endfunction
