Hello everybody,

My old coding machine, that ran windows XP just died on my. A new one will be delivered next week but it will run windows 7, just like my laptop. Now I noticed that my menu, build with Bluegui, stopped working. After reading some on this forum I know it will not work.

Are there any alternatives to BlueGUI I can use to make my interfaces?

Thanks!

Thanks a lot, mate!

Still a bit bummed out about BlueGUI not working properly. I paid good money for that. Using your dll needs me to rewrite most of my programs. At least I won't have to abandon the project.

BlueGUI does still work on Win7, the other thread you commented on is only for visual styles. Are you sure there isn't some other Win7 problem causing the crash? One example is returning string literals from functions, works fine on XP, crashes on Win7.

Ultimately if it's not too big a hassle to convert your app to BBB gui, that's the way I would go because obviously BBB gui will be updated in the future.

Thanks for your reply!

I've recompiled several apps I'm working on. Checked the code and rewrote what I could. Still the same effect. The main menu does not work, the rest does though. If you say it should work, I'll give it another go!

It would be a big hassle to use BBB, since it is not a mere conversion. Most of my apps functions work on the BlueGUI code. But I've figured that already. BlueGUI is not supported and BBB is in development. A better choice.

Edit:
As you might have noticed; I was bummed out and overlooked the obvious. If I cannot fix the main menu, I can simply replace the main menu with the BBB library. No need to rewrite the everything!

What part of your main menu does not work? I use BlueGUI in Win7 and the menu works fine ...

Sorry for the late reply. Been quite busy.

Got BlueGUI fully working now. I use to have a patched version of Bgui. Now without that patch it works great. But I will still be experimenting with BBB!
