Actually, that is exactly the reason you agree with your date system. There is no more logic for either system. You are just used to your system, just as we are used to our system.
You would say, "October the 31st"
I would say, "The 31st of October"
To deny that the only argument for or against each system is your personal preference is ignorant and annoying.
You take measurements in the imperial system but measure the speed of your car in KMPH (Metric).
We take measurements in the metric system but measure the speed of our car in MPH (Imperial).
You might argue that your system is the best but thats only because you grew up in that environment and I would do the same.
Either way is acceptable, its just based on your preference.
