I'm flying back home today, 30 days medical leave. Got a stress fracture in my femoral neck (bad place in the hip). High risk injury so I can't train further until it heals, otherwise I could break my hip. Sucks since I was suppose to graduate in only a few days and I was in the middle of my last training event. Arghhhh!!!!!

I'm just waiting at the airport for my flight in a few hours, starting to sweat like crazy because we slept outside last night and it was only in the 30s so I have tons of winter gear on.

Welcome home. I hope that you're okay, what caused the fracture?

I think it was a combination of things. It started the night after an 8 mile rucksack march. Then I hobbled around for 2 weeks and continued to run the 2 mile for my end of cycle PT test (which was 13min and my company had the highest PT average overall). I only had 3 days left of actual training, but that last day included a 12 mile rucksack march which the doctor said absolutely not. It really sucks being this close to graduation and not being able to continue on with my platoon.

I'm sure it does. I'm assuming that you'll have to re-do the whole training once you go back? Well, at least you'll be well prepared for the next go around, I guess.

Chances are I'll be thrown into a company that's in their last phase of training. I won't have to do most of the exercises until the final week since I've already done them all.
