I want to know if there is a way to detect errors in the multiplayer class. I am trying to create a net game. However the game is not being created. I'm not sure if it is a bad IP , firewall etc. I could not find a way to pull out an error list with the multiplayer class. Does anyone have any ideas ? Thanks for any help.
Here is the code. When I check for sessions or call gameexist nothing is returned. However I am unsure of why.
DarkGDK.Net.Multiplayer.PerformChecklistForConnections()
If DarkGDK.Checklist.ChecklistQuantity = 0 Then
DarkGDK.Text.ShowText(0, 0, "No network available. Program will exit now.")
End If
Dim X As Integer
Dim NetoptionsText As String
Dim NetOptions As Integer
For X = 0 To DarkGDK.Checklist.ChecklistQuantity
If DarkGDK.Checklist.ChecklistString(X) = "Internet TCP/IP Connection For DirectPlay" Then
NetoptionsText = DarkGDK.Checklist.ChecklistString(X)
End If
If NetoptionsText = "error" Then
DarkGDK.Text.ShowText(0, 0, "No connection is available")
Exit Function
Else
TCPIPcheck = NetOptions
DarkGDK.Text.ShowText(0, 0, NetoptionsText)
End If
Next
DarkGDK.Text.ShowText(0, 50, DarkGDK.Net.Multiplayer.GameExists)
DarkGDK.Net.Multiplayer.SetConnection(NetOptions, "127.0.0.1")
DarkGDK.Net.Multiplayer.CreateGame("test", "host", 2, Net.MultiplayerType.Peer2Peer)
