I can't reply in the forums as I would like, because I can't find the "recent threads" button. Does it exist? And where is it?

It doesn't exist. The thread highlighting shows which ones have been updated since you last red them (blue updated, lighter kinda white is a thread you're up to date with). Also the "Newest post" option in the thread name takes you to the last post you read in that thread. Does the job!
