help! how do i make the screen fade to black? i want to use it after the game has been won.

2D or 3D?

If you're using 3D then just fade out the ambient light.

Mental arithmetic? Me? (That's for computers) I can't subtract a fart from a plate of beans!

An alternative method is to put a black plain in front of the camera, and progress from transparent to opaque.

How do you do it in 2D? Are there any simpler solutions than with an animated sprite?

Sorry Wizz, that's the best way.

However, you CAN use dbSetDisplayGamma() to lower all of the screen's color values to 0, but this isn't supported by all graphics cards, so the sprite is more effective.
