I would have gone with rum or mead, I hope it comes with customisable options.

Hmm...which reminds me, I need some too! We have a good off license in the next town over that sells good mead. Though the last mead somebody bought for me was awful, perhaps I should have told them which ones taste better. Also, Wikingsblut, a German mead made to look like blood is amazing. Had some when I was over at the Wacken festival in Germany and I've already got my tickets for next year, so my Viking self can celebrate in pure Viking style. Having a proper Viking outfit would be amazing.

Anyway...I've managed to make this thread out of topic in a single post. I think it's my new record.

Quick, lets admire the picture once more! Yes, I would like some wine Mr Computer man. Thank you.

I don't mind.

Here is an article on what's happening in the states with mead.

PITTSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Mead, that drink of viking saga and medieval verse, is making a comeback. But this ain't your ancestors' honey wine.

"It's not just for the Renaissance fair anymore," says Becky Starr, co-owner of Starrlight Mead, which recently opened in an old woven label mill in this little North Carolina town.

In fact, this most ancient of alcoholic libations hasn't been this hot since Beowulf slew Grendel's dam and Geoffrey Chaucer fell in with the Canterbury pilgrims at the Tabard.

In the past decade, the number of "meaderies" in the United States has tripled to around 150, says Vicky Rowe, owner of Gotmead.com, which describes itself as "the Internet's premier resource for everything to do with mead.

"I literally get new notifications of meaderies at least every couple of weeks," says Rowe, who runs the website from her home in the woods north of Raleigh. "So they're just popping up all over.

------------------------------------------------------

They may be popping up all over but none here yet.

Hmpf, I live up in Sweden and if you want mead around here you have to place a special order with some sketchy company that is likely to get you import wares from Germany anyway... what's up with that?

Anyway, on topic... err... I mean, I get it, but is it really that funny?

for some strange reason when I was little I thought the lyrics to queens - killer queen were. "one two, oh one two three, all I want to do is drink you're mead." I think I had been up too late reading asterix comics the night before the long car drive upon which i first hear the song.
upon listening to it again, i have no idea how i heard those words in that chorus.

All this talk of mead reminded me of that for some reason.

Sometimes I like to use words out of contents

I assumed it was Wine, as in...

By the glass? ...

Quote: "
Bob Amstadt (the initial project leader) and Eric Youngdale started the Wine project in 1993 as a way to run Windows applications on Linux. It was inspired by two Sun Microsystems' products, the Wabi for the Solaris operating system, and the Public Windows Initiative[9] (an attempt to get Windows API fully reimplemented in the public domain as an ISO standard, but rejected by the entity due to pressure from Microsoft in 1996).[10] Wine originally targeted Windows 3.x (16-bit) application software, but as of 2010 focuses on 32-bit and 64-bit applications. The project originated in discussions on Usenet in comp.os.linux in June 1993.[11] Alexandre Julliard has led the project since 1994."

I remember that time when some of my programming and computer analyst friends were being sucked into Linux.

Although that is what I was thinking about when I saw this, I believe it is probably a glass of wine.

No it's not a belly laugh funny but my sense of humour runs the gambit and I like subtle humour.

What I was hoping for was others contributing to the future error messages. But, apparently nobody can top this? I would think it would be easy. So, Rudolpho, the King of men, do you have one that is funnier? I'd love to see it. BTW, the sarcasm is not to be taken seriously.

@ Brian

LOL. I remember you telling me this. Reminds me of a training exercise we were on with new recruits in SAR. Guy hollers out...

"If you can hear me, knock once. If you can't, knock twice." We all looked at him and laughed.

Yup, xplosys has topped it so far.

As I'm listening to CCR, using my headphones and blasting out my eardrums I would say I would have to knock twice. Unless it's the other way around. Even if I wasn't listening to CCR I would still have to knock twice -- can't hear a thing. I have to use headphones when the wife's at home otherwise I'd be out in the cold. That blast of cold air from the North (Canada?) is reaching now.
