Hi,
What are the minimum/recommended specifications for DarkBASIC Professional? I've looked around the site but I can't seem to find them. TIA.

yeah, I've asked that to Rick once, but the guy is far busy to answer me... My question was actually "How low can we go" with DBpro

Well, it's strange isn't it? Minimum specs should be a thing to boast about, not something to sweep under the rug. Makes you think, huh?

As far I know, you need at least 8 Mb graphic card, and DirectX 8.1, CPU type and speed does not matter. I think, this is not good, because if I will do a 2D game without any 3D graphic, it will not work anymore on the laptop of my boss which has 1 Mb memory, or on his second computer with 4 Mb card. All DB1 progs are working on both machines.
The compiler should have the ability to compute how much RAM is the minimum for the code.

Well, the Demos (like the room Demo) are an indicator of requirements for DBPro. And it wasn't until I bought a GForce2 card (very cheap these days) that the Demos worked properly for me.
I have found that onboard graphics cards, like from SiS etc. don't do the job.

Minimum Requirements..off the box

PII 300 mhz
DirectX compatable graphics card with min 8MB with 3D acceleration
DirectX compatable sound card
4X CD ROM
64MB Memory
400 MB hard disk space

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.
