been on the test program a couple months now (2 maybe?)

Its a good game, but i wont buy it -> it feels more like a SP game than a MMORPG

Yes Bioware have done themselves out of a sale here too. It's just another standard MMO, in my opinion. I don't care if you're opinion is different people. I won't be changing my mind

yeah, though like i said in SP form..

anywya the running is WAY to much for me -> ususally you get quests in two COMPLETLY different directions, just running to the quest you want takes up to 10 minutes.. not a fan of that

the gameplay is good -> if it werent MP...

I'm beta testing!

The download is taking forever, but as soon as it finishes I'll be on all weekend. Wanna play together? I'll probably make a Jedi Knight first, even though I cringe at the thought of being mainstream.

Well, I should probably close this now, let the Bandwidth go to downloading SWTOR, which I see as being a big deal, for I have played many MMO's, but never one so story driven or custom as such. Fingers crossed it's worth the money.

This is the very first MMO I was actually excited about. Can't wait until it's free-to-play.

IF it goes F2P then yes, ill definitly play this!
I could, even pay an one time fee for it -> i just cant see it being redeemable as pay per month.

I played for about and hour and I thought the whole thing sucked... I was really excited because the last 2 games were my FAVORITE EVER! But this let me down...

not at all sure why though?
Its pretty much like the last 2 but in mmo-ish form?

I thought it was pretty true to the originals in that regard -> the conversations are awesome, voice acting brilliant, battle system is remade, but its very good imo

Looks like it'll run on low specs, so I might actually be able to get away with my Intel GMA. It looks pretty cool and Bioware haven't let me down yet...well if we ignore the technical issues of ME on my old laptop. They have such good storytelling in their games that it'll be interesting to see how it manifests in MMORPG form.

However, I'm not gonna pay around £50 for a pre-order though and then pay a monthly fee, so I can wait.

I've been in the testing program for a few months now. I liked it, but it quickly became just another MMO sitting in the "dusty corner" of my HD. Heaps better than WoW, in my opinion, though.

Cheesehead for life.

I thought the cutscenes were awesome, and getting a quest as a little cutscene instead of a block of text was cool. Other than that I felt I was playing every other MMO I've ever tried.

Without access to this beta, they would have had money from me. Now it will go into something else.

The MMO part kills it for me. As a long time fan of everything Bioware (from Baldur's Gate to Dragon Age and Mass Effect) I absolutely adore the original KOTOR and to a lesser extent KOTOR 2. They were really awesome single player RPG epics, and I can't help but feel that if you put that into a multiplayer context, you're giving up one of the most appealing elements of the game.

It is sad that we are seeing less and less of these huge epic single player RPGs. All we had this year was The Witcher 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and of course the really big one Skyrim. Though all three of those games are REALLY awesome, three is not enough. The massive failure that was Dragon Age 2 does not count.

If you could play The Old Republic like a normal single player KOTOR game and ignore all the multiplayer stuff, then I might consider playing it. If it has a subscription fee than I am definately NOT playing it.

All right you primitive screwheads, listen up...

Damn, then I'm not playing it, unless it goes free to play at a later date.

After Dragon Age 2 and now this, Bioware has much to atone for. Hopefully Mass Effect 3 will be up to the task.

Atone? I think this looks pretty awesome, but you know it's an MMORPG so you gotta expect MMORPG and normally they require subscription fees, but no doubt as a result you'll get regular updates with new content as well as expansion packs. Hopefully they'll make it worth the fee, otherwise they may end up going for the F2P model. I'm hoping there will be a trial version for it, just so I can test that it will actually work on my laptop, which only have an Intel GMA. Specs suggest it should, but I don't often rely on advertised specs.
