Just finished doing a new install of all required tools on a Win 7 machine. It works like a dream. App launches in the emulator and executes perfectly although a bit slow.

My original install was on an XP machine WITHOUT a Service Pack 3 update. It seems the minimum system requirements are XP WITH a Sercive Pack 3 update.

Hope this helps others facing the same problem.

I am also stuck on the cygwin part where I have to change directory. I attached two pics of the command prompt and the properties of template_android folder.

I was thinking of having another go at this soon, but fancy trying the version used in the guide to see if it helps any. The link above didn't work for me does anyone know of one to get ndk 6? Googling so far has not managed to find me the ndk, just lots of stuff about the ndk. No signs of a video tutorial anywhere yet btw?

I used the latest ndk release 7 without any problems

I even phased out cygwin and command line compiling.

check out this guide to setup automatic ndk builds:

I got round to trying to compile to Android and on my xp pc I got it working with ndk-r7b.

No look with my Vista laptop though, couldn't get Android SDK Manager to run.

@DVader I agree too a video guide would be much easier for me to understand. I got stuck so long that I gave up on the android for now.
