Hi all
I'm currently working on updating to my last Model Pack (Model Pack 58). I would like to finish it even this year.
So, What will be changed? First of all animations. I know, that basic versions of animations in this pack are kinda poor.
That's was my first project in which I was doing animations for weapons. I'm still learning to animate, but nevermind.
Also, I'm working on textures. I changed part of them. Now they are more detailed.
Additionally, I changed the position of the hands in the some weapons, especially in the MP40, Sten and PPSH.

I decided to change the crosshair. The previous crosshair was a part of the 3d model of weapon.
Therefore, could some problems appear connected with the change of the lighting.

Cool I like the fact you are fixing the issues you didn't like. Now I can buy the good version, instead of buying the old version, and updating.Thank You

I prepared a four screenshots which showing the next weapons, which I recently improved. I put only the pictures this time. However, I'll prepare the video soon (maybe even tommorow), which will demonstrate the new animations.

The update will change the animations and textures of each weapons, because their basic versions aren't too good.

I might be buying this pack soon, especially since you'll be fixing up the animations, thanks for taking the time to do this!

Will there be cocking animations for all the weapons?

Thanks!

I've bought the pack and am itching to download it but am waiting for the update (bad bandwidth keeps me from downloading the pack now and the update a little later); any idea when the update will be ready? Can't wait!

Captain Coder

EDIT:

Finally got the video to load; I like what I see! BTW, where can I find that awesome music in the video? I really like that, something energizing that gets me to keep going when something gets hard

Finally I finished work on the update today, but I thought, that would be nice to create some new dynamic crosshair Well, it'll probably take me another few days.

Hooray!! I can't wait!

That would be nice, but if the lighting problems cannot be worked around (ie: crosshair can't be seen in the dark) then I would prefer it be left out (of course, that is just me )

If you do decide to ahead and try the dynamic crosshair, go for it!

But if you don't - that's fine too. Because then I'll be able to change it!

Can't wait to download

Thanks for all your effort,

Personally I loved this pack but didn't really like the crosshairs, they aren't compatible with other weapons and I haven't tested them, but I assume you can't use the new hide crosshair commands with them?

I don't think you can, as they will be a part of the 3D model.

I could probably import the model into Fragmo and delete the crosshair, but I don't like playing with animated things when changing them, and I don't know the proper export settings for weapons.

I planned to create a new dynamic crosshair but rather better idea will be to keep 2D crosshair. The older crosshairs were 3D parts of each weapons (as I wrote before) and I had problems with them.
Ok, Now I must test all weapons whether everything works well. If everything will be fine I'll send the update to TGC. I would be forgot, I must to record some new video too

I apologize for my indecision in the crosshair case

It's fine about the crosshair; I just can't wait for the update! I'll be looking forward to seeing the new video too (assuming I can even view it - my bandwidth is slow again )

I sent the update to TGC some time ago, but they are busy right now and really don't know when it will come out. I hope that still in this month. Sorry for the delay, but as you can see it doesn't depend on me.

Will there ever be an update with the crosshairs again? That was one of the main reasons I got this pack was because of the innovative dynamic crosshair Not saying that the weapons weren't great though! I still love this pack =)

@BSP:

I am sorry to bug you again, but I need to know something about the VWEAPs. I have downloaded the original pack (not the update - it's still not available! ) and am mostly enjoying what I am seeing. However, most of the VWEAPs are disgustinly huge. For example, the Bren is as big as a rocket launcher when given to a character. Have the VWEAPs been rescaled? I tried rescaling them myself but it just makes the engine render them invisible

@Captain Coder:

I rescaled most of the VWEAPs files. However, if you're using the basic WW2 characters, you should also resize them in .FPE files because they are too small in my opinion. The basic value is 80. Change it to 100. I used this value, when I tested the VWEAPs files on basic WW2 characters.

I see! Yes, they are a bit stubby, aren't they?
