Great read to start of the new year, guys! Well done.

The 'Bitesize' tutorials are a great idea, bax! Thank you for that.

Great issue. I have a problem going through the AppGameKit bitesize tutorial, however.

With these two lines:

I get an error "Sprite 0 does not exist at line 10". It doesn't like using setSpriteSize on a sprite created from no image? I'm still learning AppGameKit so I'm new to this, and I probably did something wrong.

Works on this end. Have you installed the latest version of AppGameKit (1065)? You could also try placing this:

Global spr as integer

right before the CreateSprite() line.

Yes, I'm using the newest AppGameKit, just installed fresh today. The error still appears with the following code:

Ah, there's a typo on the SetSpriteOffset line. You've added a 't' to the variable thus creating a new one with a value of 0.

Nice catch Hodgey, I was just looking through these posts to find the answer! "Syntax Error" I guess how many times have I done that? Too many to count!!

You're welcome Jeku.

Yeah, I'm only speaking from experience. I've had more than my fair share of typos.

Actually, I think someone mentioned a request for adding an option where people can choose to have compulsory variable declaration. It would certainly make finding typos a lot easier.

Great newsletter as always.

Here's the original thread with all of the sprite packs so far. Lot more is planned and I"ll be picking this back up in the next few days.
