Hi,
I use Tier2 with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 IDE.
My project files are in the folder: "C:\Users\George\MyDocuments\AGK\AGK01\"
Every time I run a project from within IDE a new folder is created with some image files (fonts, AppGameKit logos etc).
The new folder is:
"C:\Users\George\MyDocuments\AGK\C_Users_George_Documents_AGK_AGK01\"
Is it possible to prevent the creation of this folder?

Yes, copy what is in that folder into your media folder then delete it. That should do it. If you want to reduce the images you find in there you can do that too.

I find this very unnecessary in Tier2.

I can understand the use of those Interpreter image files in a T1 scenario, but in T2 it just inflates the exe by ~600k.

I have complained about this since day 1, I hope TGC will get rid of this one day + get rid of creating the AppGameKit dir in MyDocs and the sub-dir for every new project.

Baxslash you can prevent the creation of the image files, but you can't prevent the creation of the folder & subfolder as Moraldi is asking.

Hopefully this will be addressed in 107

Really? I thought I had managed to stop it by doing this, my mistake.

Yes it does seem unnecessary...

Thanks for your responses.
The whole story started for me because I've setup an automated backup task (using the NERO BackItUp) and I don't want these files in my archives.

TGC promised that they are going to act on this thing, maybe even by time 107 gets released.

However I don't know about the embedded graphic files. Somehow it bothers me that an iOS exe is inflated by 600k of useless graphics that are useless in my T2 game

I have posted this issue as High. You should not have to suffer bloated T2 apps (we had enough of that with DBP)

I drink tea, and in my spare time I write software.

Maybe a good idea would be to remove the graphic files from the lib itself, and just have them embedded in the T1 XCODE project file for iOS.
In T2 we don't need these graphics.
