Hello!

Recently I've just been really annoyed with FPSC and it's constant crashing so I've decided to go in the land of UDK! Don't worry, I'll still be around on the forums...

Anyway.

So, I want to import and export my files into blender so they are ready for udk, BUT I cannot find a .x importer/exporter. I came across this one here, but google chrome says the website can be dangerous (The download website does, I just didn't want to link there. In this case the link Im checking out is the one for 2.5x), and I just cannot risk it again. If anyone can assure me it is safe, I'll be really grateful.

Thank you.

if you don't trust blender.org than you should probably choose a different 3d tool.

Also, it's a plaintext file. The file is python sourcecode, you can review the code if you like, but if it's on blender's own site, it's probably fine.

Thanks. Being the stupid person I am, obviously as soon as I saw "Dangerous site" I was like: "Ok, bye". Thanks! I'll be sure to be more careful next time

Blender has a built in .x exporter. You just need to enable it in "file > user preferences > addons" search for directx and enable it.

Yes, I believe it does, but then I also needed a .ASE exporter which was only compatible with version 2.49/2.5x and that was when blender didn't have a .x function (I could be wrong) but thanks for the info anyway!
