I got the Witcher 2 (Razer) mouse with The Witcher 2 and used it with my laptop (Toshiba Satalite i7) and it worked great. After about 5 months it just stopped working and didn't work in any of the 4 USB ports, so I borrowed my mates spare mouse for awhile.

Then I got the mouse that came with Stronghold 3 and it stopped working last week. At first it worked in a different USB port for about an a hour and now nothing.

So I tried my Witcher 2 mouse again and it semi works. It cuts out every now and then which is a pain when trying to play games.

I checked the drivers list and all the USB, Mouse and HID drivers appear to be up to date. Both are USB optical.

Any ideas what's causing this? Thanks.

This happens to me. I believe it's because I've dropped it a few times, but it happened recently, so I have no idea whats wrong.

the cable might be broken, might be "within the plastic" as in, no visual damage, but within the plastic one copper thread might be loose or something

The result of origin.. Oh and ponies

I take pretty good care of them and have probably only dropped them about once or twice each.

I think it may be the cable.
