So I'm back at my physical therapy unit for the month and I have plenty of time to do nothing. I picked up a Wired magazine from the airport, but it's mostly rubbish these days, not worth it at all.

What's some junk I can buy to pass my time here? Any "good" tech magazines?

Anything by Douglas Adams. The man fuses physics and comedy in impossible, (or improbable,) ways.

stress fracture in my hip a few months ago. I should be getting out of here in a few weeks though. I might be allowed to run finally after my follow-up in a few days.

Every other day, and there's only a few PCs for the few dozen guys here. Plus, it's nice to have something to read when I'm on duty.

I like CPU (computer power user) which is a magazine about hardware. It helps me keep up with what's coming out. The subscription is free.

There's also retro gamer which I totally want but can't afford.

I actually like Wired, and get the digital version for my iPad too. Also, Retro Gamer rocks (as has already been stated). Those are the only two that I subscribe to.

CPU looks like an interesting magazine, i've wondered if there was a mag based more on hardware.

I ordered Necromancer and what I think is its sequel, mona lisa something.

Haven't looked at retro gamer yet, but I'll take a look.

Anything from 'Make : technology on your time'

While the published mag can run $15.99, personally it's well worth it in substance. But any of their online links are worth checking out. Here are a few

Read the bible. They have them everywhere.

(Well if your not Christian or if you don't feel like reading it) Try reading a sci fi book by Issac Asimov,Phillip K Dick, and Arthur C. Clarke. I read Foundation and it was amazing.

If you think that's the end then you stopped reading too soon.

I don't want to ruin it for you, but there's more. Turn's out it's a disney death. Very cunning how they pull it off.
