To compile the tier 2 template app open cygwin and browse to the android template directory (cygwin is case sensitive and does not allow spaces in your project path), for example in my enironment that would be 'cd "/cygdrive/c/android/AGK/IDE/template/template_android" then try to compile the template with the path to the NDK installation e.g. "/cygdrive/c/android/android-ndk-r6b/ndk-build 2> log.txt" errors will be put in log.txt in the template_android folder. This compiles all the C++ code into the native library that will be the main part of the Android application.

This is where the guide losses me.

Step by step...

To compile the tier 2 template app open cygwin - have you installed Cygwin?

...and browse to the android template directory
e.g cd "/cygdrive/c/android/AGK/IDE/template/template_android"
...or wherever you put your IDE folder, copied from the AppGameKit installation folder.

...then compile the template with the path to the NDK installation
e.g. "/cygdrive/c/android/android-ndk-r6b/ndk-build 2> log.txt"
...or wherever you installed your Android NDK.

I have installed cygwin yes this guide is alot harder then the apple guide.

how do u compile it with a make comand or a java command. i type make template_android. It says compile to NDK path "/cygdrive/c/android/android-ndk-r6b/ndk-build 2> log.txt" So what exactly do u type once in this path. NDK "/cygdrive/c/android/android-ndk-rb6/ndk-build 2>log.txt" is this the right command it does not work I am trying this on a 64 bit machine I will try on 32 bit today.

i know cd commands got to the directory in cygwin, where template_android is then type make template_android it was not the right command.

Set the current directory to "template_android" then do the following:

You shouldn't need the "make"
