I was wondering if anyone could suggest a few good books to start reading for C++ and game development. I have read Starting Out with Games and Graphics. What other books can you suggest for a new person with desires to learn C++, game development, and have a fun time doing it? I realize I won't create a game in a day. I just want a better understanding of the process that goes into it. No schools around my area that have classes worth taking. Thanks.

Some references were posted there. The 'cheat sheet cards' I have printed out.

CProgramming.com has a good C/C++ starter's tutorial, as well explanations of some general programming practices and algorithms.
